Will a debit card work to order things like a credit card?

I want to open an amazon account and there's a few things I want but I don't have a credit card. Will my checking account debit card work?|||Yes, as long as the card has a Visa or MasterCard logo you can use it as if it was a credit card.





Just pretend it is and enter all the fields required as usual.








BUT.... only ever use your debit card on absolutely secure sites.


Here is why... the charges you make using your check card are deducted from your checking account. If a crook gets ahold of your card info they can virtually wipe out your checking account.





Unlike a real credit card that has severe consequences.





It is one thing to open your credit card bill and find unauthorized charges. All you do is call up your CC company and dispute these charges.





But a checking account that has been cleaned out.... means you don't have any money until the bank can figure it out and reverse the charges which usually takes forever and a day.





So... think twice before you use that ATM check card on the internet.|||Yes they will, as long as they are from a credit card company, such as the Visa check card. You just put in the infor the same as a credit card--name, card number, security number and expiration.
