How much does Chase charge if you use your debit card as a backup funding for PayPal?

I had to use my debit card to pay a forum seller through paypal because I have zero funds and I need to send the payment immediately.

But then after, I heard that PayPal charges fees when you do that.

I checked the FAQ of PayPal but it says that the bank the account owner is using does the charging.

If they do charge, how much?|||PayPal never charges a fee to send payments for items and services purchased online. Your card issuer may charge a fee, but that is strictly up to them.

We know that you work hard for every dollar, and we make it a priority to keep fees as low as possible. We don't charge a fee for opening an account, sending money, or withdrawing funds to a bank account.

Our fee structure is based upon whether a payment is classified as Personal or Purchase.

"Personal" payments are those sent to friends or family without an exchange of goods. A cash birthday gift or sharing a dinner bill are two examples.

"Purchase" payments involve a sale of goods or services, a response to a donation request, or money received by a business or commercial entity.

Sending or receiving a "personal" payment is free if it's withdrawn from the PayPal balance or bank account. Debit or credit card transactions are assessed a fee, but the sender has the option of paying the fee or passing it on to the recipient.

The recipient of a "purchase" payment will always pay the fee, regardless.

To review the current fees rate for your account:

Log in to your PayPal account.

Click "Fees" at the bottom of any page.

Select the link under "Get Paid" column of the Purchase box.

International payments, country to country, will incur a fee along with any applicable exchange rate conversions. We recommend a review of the Fees section of the PayPal User Agreement before making an international transaction. The User Agreement is located by clicking "Legal Agreements" at the bottom of any PayPal webpage.

Withdrawing money from the PayPal balance to your bank account is free. However, if a check is requested, there's a $1.50 fee.|||You will not be charged fees by PayPal for using it to buy items off the net.

If you are a seller and receive payments, PayPal does charge a nominal 2 to 3% of the money you receive.
